ALDRIN ENERGY STORAGE

Aldrin Energy Storage is a proposed 550-megawatt Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project that will bring sustainable renewable energy to support the Texas grid. This project will be located in Brazoria County, Texas, on less than 12 acres of privately owned land, directly next to an electrical substation and a major electrical corridor serving the residents of Brazoria County.

Adding energy storage to the Texas grid allows extra power to be stored when demand is low, which is then used when demand for energy increases. This partnership will help to reduce or avoid price spikes and supply shortfalls. With Texas’ all-in energy production model, every type of energy generated can help Texas remain an energy leader with a strong, reliable grid.

This project could be operational as soon as the end of 2025, with the potential to provide taxpayers, schools, community colleges, emergency services, utility districts, hospitals, and other local institutions with reliable economic benefits for years to come.
