Aldrin Energy Storage is a proposed 550 MW utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) in Brazoria County, Texas. The facility is designed to store electricity during periods of low demand and discharge it when demand is high, improving grid reliability and reducing price volatility in the ERCOT market.
All equipment will be removed under a decommissioning and reclamation plan that is backed by a financial bond, and the land can be returned to its original use.
As Texas continues to experience population growth and increased electricity demand, battery storage facilities like Aldrin ensure reliable power delivery around the clock, in all weather conditions.
