Aldrin Energy Storage is a proposed 550-megawatt / 1,100 megawatt-hours utility-scale battery storage project under development in Brazoria County, Texas. Vesper Energy is developing the project and is responsible for it through construction, operations, and eventually decommissioning, when all equipment is removed, and the land is returned to its prior use. We engage directly with residents, landowners, local officials, emergency services, and local agencies to understand community priorities and maintain open communication. Our goal is to be a responsible, reliable partner that Brazoria County can count on through the development, construction, and life of the project.

About Aldrin Energy Storage

Aldrin is a proposed 550-megawatt / 1,100 megawatt-hours utility-scale battery storage project developed by Vesper Energy. The project will be installed in Brazoria County and is expected to begin operating in early 2028.

Aldrin is expected to operate for 20+ years. During that time, the project will create good-paying construction jobs, provide long-term tax revenue for Brazoria County, and offer regional supply chain opportunities while ensuring a more stable and dependable energy supply.

Aldrin is being developed on private land through a voluntary partnership with a participating landowner. When the project ends, all equipment will be removed under a decommissioning and reclamation plan that is backed by a financial bond. Unlike permanent development such as housing or commercial construction, land can be returned to its original use.
